It was a weekend of highs for Spano Gutierrez, whose maiden race meetings aboard his new AMCA National at Darwin’s Northline Speedway resulted in a pair of pleasing victories, the latter of which saw him clinch the third Darwin Title of his career.
The last couple of months have been anything but quiet for former Australian RSA Street Stocker Champion Shaun Davoodi, who not only made the decision to step into the AMCA Nationals class, but turned heads last Saturday night when he found himself in victory lane.
Despite the fact that he still runs a 253ci engine amongst a field of 350ci Chevs in what is his 22nd season in speedway, Terry Pankhurst has well and truly held his own against his rivals in the AMCA Nationals class this season, successfully claiming back to back victories in the overall East Coast Series.
Next month, AMCA Nationals driver and noted photographer Declan Brownsey is set to embark on an American racing campaign, which will see him contest over a dozen race meetings in U.M.P. Modifieds in support of the prestigious Late Model Hell Tour.
