SUPER SEDANS

Another stellar performance saw Darren Kane and the Ian Boettcher Race Parts team collect their eighth Super Sedan feature-race win in last Saturday night’s 10th Think Money Super Sedan Championship Series round, which doubled as the KB Cup 52, at Kingaroy Speedway.

As the highest point scorer heading into the feature race, thanks to his consistent form throughout his heat races which saw him finish second, first and third, lady luck smiled on Kane during the random top-six draw, granting him pole position for the 30-lap feature race. He was then able to lead from start to finish, scoring his 10th overall feature-race win for the 2016-17 season, having driven to victory in his Late Model on two occasions.

“We had a bit of pressure from Mark Pagel and Mat Pascoe throughout the feature race but we were able to keep a good line and come away with the win,” commented the Qld # 36 Ian Boettcher Race Parts / Motorsport Fuels backed Dominator driver, who had been feeling under the weather, having contracted a virus earlier in the week, but impressively managed to persist to come away with top honours.

“Any success we have is a testament to the amazing efforts put in by the entire Ian Boettcher Race Parts team during the week and at the track, so it’s great to be able to reward them with another win.”

Kane will be looking to continue his winning ways heading into his next event, which will be this Saturday night’s Queensland Late Model Title at Toowoomba’s Hi-Tec Oils Speedway. Kane is a two-time Queensland Title holder in the class.
