RSA SEDANS

Continuing to build their prominence throughout New South Wales and now venturing into Queensland, Racing Sedans Australia (RSA) are preparing to contest their biggest season yet, with eight title events taking place throughout the 2018-19 season across five different classes.

With competitor numbers continuing to increase by means of regular competitive racing, having expanded into Queensland over the past 12 months, Racing Sedans Australia is pleased to have been able to bolster their 2018-19 season calendar with a slew of title events that will no doubt attract even more drivers to the fold in future seasons.

Highlighting this season’s calendar will be the Australian Street Stockers Title, which is set to take place over two huge nights on the Australia Day long weekend (January 26 and 27) at Gilgandra Speedway in the central west of NSW.

Following Shane Carlson’s victory in last season’s running of the event at Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway, which saw defending Australian Champion Shaun Davoodi and John Lodge Jnr place in second and third respectively, there will be a lot on the line this season as Carlson attempts to defend his mantle and Davoodi attempts to regain it.

This event will be one of two Australian Titles to take place this season, with the exciting addition of the inaugural Australian Junior Sedan Title, which will be hosted by Cullen Bullen Raceway, near Lithgow in NSW, and will be the first of the title events to take place on November 24.

A week later on December 1, 4 Cylinder Sedan drivers will battle it out for the NSW Title at Nowra Speedway on the south coast of NSW, while the Street Stockers will once again hit the track on March 2, this time for their NSW Title which will be held at Valvoline Raceway, and the Junior Sedans will be back in action on March 16 at Gunnedah Speedway in north western NSW to determine their NSW Title.

The Outlaw Sedans will be the only class to contest two state titles this season, with their NSW Title taking place on May 11 at Dubbo’s Morris Park Speedway, followed by their Queensland Title on June 1 at Brisbane’s Archerfield Speedway, which will also be run in conjunction with the Queensland Title for Limited Sedans on the same night.

“It’s going to be a massive season for Racing Sedans Australia classes and we’re really excited about the calendar of major events we have mapped out,” enthused current Racing Sedans Australia President Darren Cassidy.

“We are confident that with so many title events taking place throughout the season at a variety of tracks in New South Wales and Queensland we’ll attract strong car counts at each event, making for some competitive and exciting racing.”
